I cannot praise I sofa enough. The service was impeccable. Friendly staff. Wonderful servers!!!! Now, for the food!!!! I ordered a mix of different fishes and it was incredible ️️️. Also, I had the spaghetti with pig cheeks... It was amazing. So tasty. Great wine and the atmosphere was relaxed and romantic. Dressy atmosphere but not too crazy. ️️️️oh. Don't forget to ask for Pasquale! He was amazing, attentive and superb when we asked him information about wine selection. I cannot say enough about I sofa.

My wife and I enjoyed an excellent meal at this restaurant. Vallerio, our server and maitre'd, was super attentive. The dishes we ordered were prepared with finesse in line with fine dining. We were quite pleased with our dishes: risotto with shrimp and artichoke, crispy pork belly, and artichoke and shrimp tempura. Decor is contemporary and tasteful. Overall, a very fine experience.

We booked a table on the rooftop for my friends birthday. It was the perfect setting for a special dinner. The staff were really friendly and accommodating and the ambience was beautiful. The sun sets over the Vatican and they had a live singer which adds a lovely touch. The food wasn’t amazing, but everything else makes up for it!

Where do I start? Having seen the reviews there were on various websites, my girlfriend and I have decided to give I Sofà a go for her birthday in Rome. Given it is is her birthday celebration, I made a note in my online reservation, gave them a call to confirm our reservation and make sure my special request is noted and also gave a verbal reminder the moment I walked into the restaurant. After three separate reminders, the restaurant still appeared to have not gotten the note and nothing was done to make our dinner slightly special, that was strike one. Then the second strike came after I found some fish scale and bones inside my sea bass tartare. While the waitress was apologetic, the manager however had the audacity to come over to ask me are you sure that it is not pistachio that is on the plate. After I showed him the evidence, he took the plate away and no action was taken to compensate or apologize. Strike three is simply the chef's love for meshing up fish. The food is good, but for a place you pay top dollar for, it is underwhelming and subpar. It may have a good view during the day, but at night you can see nothing. My recommendation? If you want to celebrate at night, take your money elsewhere as this is not a five star hotel restaurant. I have had better food and better service in a local trattoria. In a country where food quality is quite high, a restaurant really needs something special to deserve its praise, sadly I Sofà had done the opposite.

Okay, so I'll be honest, just go eat here if you have the time and money. It's delicious. The wait staff is first class and it's delicious (yes I already said that but when it's that good it bears repeating). The dishes are classically Roman in temperament but with a modern twist. Everything is presented to perfection. The front of the house deserves as much credit as the back of the house. The wait staff was efficient and had a wonderful humor about them. Not only did they provide excellent suggestions but always seemed to be right where you needed them. We went on a Saturday and there was live music. This was our big splurge meal while we were in Rome and it was so good we are going back on Monday for our last meal in the city. Bravissimo.
