In late March/early April, I called CenturyLink in order to disconnect my internet services due to a military move clause. After being transferred about 10 times and being put on hold over the course of an hour (CenturyLink had my first and last name reversed so I could not be found in the directory and kept getting transferred), the 100 disconnection fee for broadband services was waived. I checked my final bill, and there was still a 200 disconnect fee for voice services since the Internet services ran on DSL. Why would this not also be waived? I called customer service during the first week of April, and the representative said it would be resolved within three days after speaking with his supervisor. At this point, it's been two and one half weeks since that last call, and the charge is still on there. I have not been contacted by anyone for an update. CenturyLink has been the worst experience in customer service in any industry I have dealt with. It has also been the slowest and least reliable Internet Service Provider. I had to reset my modem nearly every day just to keep it working. This issue has gone unresolved for one month. What does a customer have to do to get this resolved? UPDATE: CenturyLink credited me with 200 on May 2, 2017, which was one day after I contacted the Better Business Bureau (BBB). I received my overpayment back during the first week of June with a check dated on May 30, 2017. I'm glad to have this resolved, but it's unfortunate to have to go through the BBB. I'll give you one star back.

If you like being financially penetrated in exchange for nothing then this is the company for you.
Terrible service. Crappy customer service. Throttled speeds. Disconnected for non pay when their records show bill due 19 days later. Then took week and a half to get hooked back up. I pay for 10 and 90% of the time I get less than 2mb.
Can you rate no stars? Worst ISP I've ever used. It's been a week since my installation and my internet still doesn't work and a tech was supposed to cone out however none showed. I called them 4 times today waited on hold and got no help. They can not contact the field techs directly and the field techs do not respond and I received no phone calls for the field techs. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS SERVICE TO ANYONE! Get this service if you feel like wasting your time.
WORST. INTERNET. EVER. We had CenturyLink installed in November 2014. We continually lost internet service. We would go DAYS without service, and when I called the company to have them send someone out to fix it, they said they would need to charge us. They had to replace our modem after only a month of service because it was faulty, a modem that THEY provided us, and they wanted to charge us for that too, but I had to fight them not to. I've spent HOURS on the phone with this company, and their awful customer service. Their tech support was about as helpful as my dog would have been at fixing our connection. After 2 1/2 months of HORRIBLE service and countless headaches, we've switched internet providers and couldn't be happier.
Never will I recommend this ISP to anyone anywhere. This is the only provider available in my area and the costumer service and internet speeds are so bad that I have since cancelled my services. I would rather be without internet than deal with this company ever again. You might think that with this mentality I must not need internet that badly...I'm a gamer. I built my own computer just for it. And now it just collects dust next to the Xbox. I would rather not play games or be able to watch Netflix etc. etc. than ever deal with them again. I'm pretty sure in the time that I was a customer I was on the phone with the customer (not) service more than o was with my own mother. Look for EVERY option before even considering centurylink. Seriously.
If there is 0 star I should give them 0 because First: I applied for 10mb but they gave me 8mb Second the service should be 19.95 per month but I always receive bills between 50 to 60. I don't know what is this hidden fee. They are masters for cheating people.
