Bray Conservation Area is just what the great physician( God) prescribed for me. True peace and harmony where the temporal touches the eternal.

Bray is a great little area to get out and enjoy nature. It's only a few minutes out of Rolla. It has a bedrock bottom creek that is fun to walk through during the hot summer days. One will find a icy cold spring flowing into the creek and an old tunnel where the creek flows under the railroad tracks as they walk upstream. Along the creek it has beautiful towering sycamores and oaks that stand watch over this secluded gem.It has a beautiful pond where one can see fish, turtles, and frogs. One one side of the pond is a large flat rock the is a great place for lunch or just enjoying the view. Occasionally one may see a freight train as it whistles and clanks along the tracks that run along side the park. There is also a couple of trails, a short easy half mile loop and longer more brushy loop. Hiking is much better during the cooler months before the vegetation grows up around the trail. All in all, it's a great place to get out and enjoy nature.
Spent a peaceful quiet Sunday afternoon exploring the area. The trails were well maintained. The kids enjoyed watching the goslings and walking the trails.
Nice, little conservation area. The immediate area is well maintained. I can't vouch for the trails. Hopefully, the city of Rolla will keep this area as it is and not ruin it by turning it into another bland strip mall, dog park, or car wash.
Beautiful trails and sights. Train going over the ridge is fun to watch.
