Dropped in on a sunny day and managed to get a table at the bar area facing the harbour. Fresh seafood and congenial atmosphere and seasonal price. Great location and food.

This was my first visit to Rocksalt in Folkestone. I loved 2 things about it, the location is gorgeous. Sipping a cocktail watching small fishing vessels coming into the harbour then enjoying a beautifully cooked meal. What a lovely way to spend an evening. The menu isn't huge; I ordered gnocchi with fresh peas and broad beans and it was really good. For dessert I ordered the gypsy tart with lemon cream and that too was excellent. I will definitely be returning to Rock salt soon. I nearly forgot to mention the lovely staff. They were all jolly, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu.

Beautiful food and restaurant. It was elegant and the food was exceptional with every component cooked to perfection. Best mussels I've ever had and the portions were generous considering the quality. Cocktails were also reasonably prices. 88 spent between 2 for starters, main courses and 2 cocktails plus soft drinks - very reasonable for such a romantic meal.

Beautifully-presented and tasty food. The flavours were balanced and the selection of drinks was tasteful and appropriate. We were hardly able to notice the lunchtime rush as the service was so efficient! A wonderful atmosphere was maintained to suit the gorgeous view. A wonderful experience overall, and well-adjusted to coronavirus precautions!

If you are looking for a fancy place in Folkestone to dine I recommend Rocksalt. Been here once and I loved the ambience and food and the fact that I had to dress up
