A lovely Gem in a beautiful Village. I devoured their vegetarian breakfast, cooked to perfection. So beautifully presented and filling. Great place, decor awesome and staff lovely and attentive, especially Lesley. Would return when in this part of Scotland again without a doubt. Its a must to visit, for Breakfast, Lunch or Cake and Coffee.
Really enjoyed lunch here today! The Mushroom Soup was beautiful and the cheese and chutney sandwich was delicious!
Nice cafe / lunchtime restaurant. Excellent Cullen skink (obviously); good coffee and cakes; various huge sandwiches and specials - “sole in a roll” when I visited (pan-fried sole chunks in a brioche bun with pea shoots, samphire and home-made tartar sauce). Service v friendly, although seems to take a little while to be noticed when waiting for a table. Can reserve tables which is a good plan.
Stood in queue for 20 mins plus for a plate of Cullen skink. When we eventually got to the counter we were told no tables were available and they were doing only takeaways. Fine but the ultimate insult was thar they'd run out of the soup. If only someone had been managing the queue we wouldn't have wasted our time.
