Best BBQ in the DC area I have found yet. Also, if it is December, be sure to get the Brunswick stew and mix with the corn bread! I am basing my evaluation of their BBQ solely on their pork sandwiches (offered sliced or pulled). I cannot speak for the brisket or ribs as these are not items i typically order. They may be great, just not part of our normal order. Alexandria location has a great family vibe to it. My first exposure to Rocklands was back in 2005 at their Georgetown location in Washington DC, another great location but parking i find easier at the Alexandria location . My kids love their mac and cheese as well as their collard greens. When I saw Trump was giving fast food to those that visited the white house, I was in disbelief. The Clemson team would have loved some catered Rocklands!!!!

Smoked beef ribs fell off the bones. Nice and clean place. Good selection. Most barbeque places are pork only, hard to find a good beef rib place. Unassuming location but the food speaks for itself. Friendly staff.
Had a great experience in this spot with my daughter. The food comes quickly and the service is just awesome. Prices are convenient.
This restaurant provides awesome service and delicious meals. One of my favourite spots around town. The meals served rapidly and the rates were inexpensive. Recommended.
Has it's on vibe.. not a cookie cutter place all! Char grilled wings, baked beans, chip BBQ all worth it!
