The first time this year we’ve ventured out. We called the Rockinghorse at 4pm, no answer. Their website had no COVID rules so we filled out the booking form and still did not receive a response. We decided to go anyway at 6.45. The manager met us at the door and spent 10 minutes telling us how bad we were for not pre booking. We told him we had tried and if he didn’t have a table that was fine. He did and showed us to it at which point he then found our booking and spent 5 minutes telling us that we should have booked earlier. On leaving later, he made a big dance as to whether we had paid. Of course we had paid, how insulting. Good job we were going to Pitch next and had fabulous customer service. I can appreciate that these times are stressful for staff but they shouldn’t be for the paying customer. I emailed later to complain and I just want to share with you his response: I will not reply to your complain as I found it really insulting . I am working extremely hard during this unusual time. Covid restrictions are hard to put in place I will not defend myself and will ignore your comments Please never mentioned again my incompetence you have no idea If you think I am rude then so are you . Funky little bar with a nice chilled atmosphere and some lurvely cocktails. Bartenders are friendly and it has a retro kooky vibe. Love this place
Nearly choked on cocktail but still loved it great place hidden jem
Lovely staff, great atmosphere. Me and my girlfriend came in having seen it and promised ourselves we would check it out for weeks. We went out for a cigarette, our drinks had gone. The bar man Igor saw we were outside and replaced our drinks, which we were half way through with fresh drinks. Could not have asked for better or nicer service. We will definitely come back.
Really not sure about this place. It’s not my cup of tea to be honest but was dragged along by friends. The decor is very different from your usual cocktail bar. The staff were very friendly and cocktails were price ranged from 6.50-9.50. Cocktails were decent but we’re not amazing. There were a lot of cocktails I’ve never seen before. If your looking something different from the main stream cocktail bars it’s well worth checking out.
