Rock 'N' Critters Marine Aquatics

This place is brilliant. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but once inside you can see there had been a fair bit of care taken in the set up. The staff are really knowledgeable, friendly, and so helpful! They've helped talk us through setting up a new tank, corrected us when we've made incorrect assumptions, and offered and and all advice needed! I've really appreciated their help, would 100% recommend.

Updated July 2020: I have now had my tank 1 year and thanks to the help and advice from Rock 'N' Critters I have a thriving and beautiful reef tank (see picture). Original Post July 2019: This shop was recommended to us by a friend of our son who said the owners were incredibly knowledgeable. We had visited another store and just got a sales pitch so we went along to see these guys and they were honest from the very start, they said it would be expensive and time consuming, and would require patience, etc. and boy were they right! We asked these guys for help setting up the tank and picking the right fish, and corals and they've been absolutely amazing, they truly have. They been to the house several times setting up the tank and the various bits of equipment as it's been needed, and they always give the best advice because they care about the fish and how their fish are cared for by their customers, which is just great for a beginner like me. My tank has been healthy and vibrant since they set it up and we continue to add live stock per the recommendations of Damien (shop owner). It's starting to look really amazing, we're so pleased with it. I would recommend this shop and the owners to anyone interested in marine/reef tanks, they are not only incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely caring about these animals but they also have a great store with lots of stock of fish, rock, corals, equipment, etc.

Spent a fortune with them, lost a lot of livestock we purchased off them. Always bought our water off them had constant issues with low salinity, since switching to another shop we have found no such issues. The problems we had with the tank that they installed were still ongoing until the person who we switched to checked it for us, found issues with the amount of pipework put in to quote” 500 too much pipework in here” . The sockets they put in been checked as well and electrician had to sort them out as a few of them were not secured properly and kept tripping out. Numerous other tank issues now thankfully sorted out, since switching to another shop no longer losing livestock either fish or corals. Strongly advise don’t make the same mistakes we made we stuck with them for a good few years and am now sorry we didn’t switch sooner, the difference since switching is dramatic and has prevented us giving up a hobby we as a family love
