A very welcoming friendly team, Richard, Danny and Ben are an asset to this cherished old pub. Long may she prosper. A great variety of entertainment and a no nonsense approach. Unlike the Riverside this venue has never lost its roots and doesn't tolerate poor standards from either its guests or itself.

Not Covid secure. Other than a few social distancing notices, some hand gel and a sign in sheet for track and trace, I did not feel especially confident as to anti-Covid precautions. No one way system marked out, on Saturday the pub was crowded with no one seeming to socially distance at all, bar service as normal, no staff wearing any PPE, and no measures to limit number of people using toilet facilities at any one time. Not advised.
Staff are so lovely and they smashed the rules for Covid, I felt so safe I felt I could really relax
there is no covid-19 restrictions in this pub and this pub doesn't have the NHS covid-19 check-in QR code
