Such a beautiful building in a peaceful setting even if it is in the middle of an industrial area. I love everything about the Knights Templar so was a must for me to visit this site and have done so many times, a good place to sit and relax

Really interesting building with a long history and a ghost story tucked away in an industrial estate. Definitely worth a visit. A little oasis.

Fantasic free bit of history to visit, combine it with something else as its only a 30 minute attraction, but very interesting.

Restored I believe in the 1950s, interesting place to look around. You wont spend more than half hour here.

Worth a quick visit if you are in Strood area of Medway, historical jem hidden in the middle of an industrial estate

Well preserved house from the Knights Templar era. Didn't stay long, as it was just closing. Very nice lady let us look round whilst she was closing up. Will revisit so the kids can dress up in the kids area

Beautiful spot, and incredibly quiet. I was there about a half-hour before closing (3:30 is when the last visitors are allowed in), and I was the only one on site. Staff or volunteer presence was minimal, and signage is fairly limited. Not worth going to Rochester for, but worth seeing if you're in the neighborhood if only for the surprising ambience of a site located in the middle of an industrial park. There's an activity for children (trying on costumes), for those traveling with little ones. For those interested in the history of the Knights, I'd visit the Guildhall museum in Rochester before coming out here. That museum is free, and it has an entire exhibit on their history that provides much needed context for this house.
