Living conditions are subpar in most parts of this jail. Only the towers are okay to live in. All of the old jail is not okay to hold people in and they still do. The monroe county sheriff's for the most part are decent in the way they treat inmates, but what needs improvement is the food is not enough calories to properly survive & there is no book library available to the inmates.. would not recommend, stay out of jail at all costs!!!!

My son was there it's a terrible terrible place they treat you worse than dogsdogs get to go outside dogs get to see light outside the sun etc... The food is disgusting
law is imprecise and the language doesn't strictly prohibit her from owning a shotgun on probation....judge worked the system and won showing others u don't have to follow the rules if the wording isn't correct
The staff and first responders are very doing a fine job ! I want yo thank all of you for serving our Great Country !
Dont wish to come here, food is fake, the cheese doesnt even melt! Everybody is so stupid asking people \so what you in here for?\, and everybody says \some bullsh!t.\ There are obviously jerk deputies but overall they do their job and some will actually go above and beyond by letting you use the phone free to call family (without snitching!). Oh yeah, why do they give a pillow case to you if theres no pillows? Just stuff the pillow case with some extra sheets and shirts.
