Never had work done but a driver from General Security was tailgating me for a while then passed me and attempted to also pass the car in front of me on a very dangerous spot on the road. Ended up swerving in front of me because on coming traffic and then tailgated that guy. Don't they know that there is a big sign on the van? And that represents the company?

At about 2:15 pm on August 27, 2018 I had the misfortune of driving behind a General Security branded van, license plate GEN 866. The driver threw a styrofoam take-out container and other trash out the window on 590 North, then proceeded to drive upwards of 80 mph before exiting at exit 7. Littering and speeding in a company vehicle doesn't bode well for the type of service offered.
This company broke my security system then tried to upgrade me stating the system was now obsolete. When I tried to explain to them the system was fulling functional days before and refused to pay they sent me a bill for over 1000.00
This company scammed me...I live in Syracuse...they claimed to have an office here, gave me a bogus local address. I couldn't get anyone in customer service to explain how to work my improperly working system. I stopped paying...then they called me. When I asked to be transferred to customer service, he didn't have the number...what?? I told then I would start paying again when they fixed my system...they said no and sued me...11 years ago...they are still chasing me for the money not earned...beware!!!!
If you do not have patience this is not the company for you. The phone number listed on the web has not been updated. This the second time this week I have tried to reach sales. I pressed #2 as directed only to have to be transfer again to a voicemail of someone has yet to call me back. TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, CUSTOMER SERVICE!
Terribly disappointed in the billing department and customer service at the Rochester New York branch of general security very very incompetent
