They would not serve anyone for lunch who arrived after 1400 today (many potential diners were turned away). The service was poor enough to warrant the loss of two stars from this review. The food was very good, and I will visit this restaurant again for this reason alone. The food and drinks are excellent value for money. The view is unbeatable.

I have visited this establishment on many occasions, I never tire of the view, service is good considering how busy they are during peak periods. I can recommend the omelette options on the menu. I've uploaded a photo of the view from the restaurant.

Zero stars would be appropriate for the rude and awful service. Waited for 20 mins after being seated to have the order taken. On seeing French customers who arrived 10 mins later having their order taken I walked inside and politely asked if they would take my order. I was told to "wait another 2 mins". 5 mins passed and after continuing to be torally ignored I left. Yes they are busy but abismal sh1t service is totally not acceptable. Nice view. Terrible service. After eating in so many friendly places this restaurant should be ashamed. They let down the Dordogne region and their country. Don't bother go here unless you just want to use their car park to take a nice photo. Try Restaurant du Chateau nearby the where the service is professional, friendly, prompt and efficient. The food was also great.
