The Robin hood pub itself is an old pub that has a modern feel to it. It was much larger than it looked from the outside, there was a lovely real fire near the bar and the bar staff were very nice. The reason we went there was because they have a folk night every Wednesday at 8.30. It was really great to hear and watch the musicians jamming. My son's and I had a memorable night out.

Traditional pub, close to St Albans City Station and not too far out of the City centre. But far enough to be a little quieter on busier nights and to get a seat! Staff are friendly and welcoming, plus the ales are well kept. Seems to get a good mix of locals plus passing trade. Haven’t tried the Pickled Egg Challenge yet!

Relaxed atmosphere and friendly regulars makes for a must visit At Albans pub. The age group is on the older side but younger visitors will still feel welcomed. Could do with some more options on the cask ale hand pulls.
