No wonder people give such high reviews to this area! We visited for the first time in a very sunny evening in Early May 2018. Looks fantastic for walking and relaxation. We weren’t disappointed with a coffee and fish and chips near by! We successfully found parking as there are plenty of options even the place is full with visitors. The natural beauty of the esplanade worth the effort to come from Cardiff and definitely we’re coming back for a pint or relaxation with friends.

Busiest station in Wales, located at the entrance to the harbour and break water. Great to just sit and people watch in a sunny, sheltered spot.

Porthcawl has some great places to eat with great views good parks and holiday camps that allow visitors use some of it's facilities plenty of fish n chips shops any huge beaches plus a great surfing beach
