RNLI Buckie Lifeboat Station has been launching Lifeboats from Buckie into the waters of the Moray Firth since 1860, at which time they were launching row boats & sail boats. By 1885 a new boathouse had been built for the crew at the west end of Buckie harbour that was in constant service until 1922. The (former) lifeboat station building remains can still be seen to this day, little changed externally but now used as a store by a local building contractor. Most recently in 1995, a new Buckie shore facility and pontoon berth was constructed. The new lifeboat station is of a unique construction, comprising of traditional concrete block walls with facing exterior blocks, and a sloping pitched slated roof, all of which is supported on steel columns above the water. Today the Buckie station proudly operates the largest RNLI lifeboat the Severn Class, that came on station in 2003.

A fine bunch of boys and girls. If you're near Buckie and need a lifeboat then these are the ones for you. 999 and ask for the Coastguard if you see anyone in trouble on or near the water.
Just brilliant to see the lifeboat and we all know how brave the crew are in all sorts of weather.
