Really nice, friendly people. The location is a bit small but the nice part about this county's library system is that this location is one of many. The staff are very helpful and they have some fun programs, like a Batman themed day and celebrating National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo). Like many older places in Florida, it's true there is a mildew aroma from storm seasons past. But the interior is in good shape, it's easy to get in and out and there's plenty of parking.

Was a good place to write my book. Need a serious inforcer for the noise. (I'm for hire) But got a lot of work done. @SeerDerek Twitter Contact me

Worse library ever the lady at the front not helpful at all. She was rude when asked if they had a room available. The place is humid and moldy. Riverview needs a better library with helpful staff.

We recently moved to the Riverview area and were excited to find a library so close to home. I visited 2 weeks ago with my adult son who has ASD. I guess we were sooo used to the politeness, friendliness and knowledge of our long time friends from the Port of Tampa Library because when we walked in, we weren’t greeted -even though my son said “hello, how you doing?” The “dude” sitting at the front desk looked at him like there was something wrong with him for greeting him... My son looked around, made his choices, self checkout and as we’re leaving, he says “have a nice evening, everyone” & once again, WE were stared at like there was something wrong with us & simple, basic manners! No. I wasn’t expecting a red carpet rolled out for us nor the world to stop to greet us. But if you wonder why people much rather sit at home & “Google” instead of going old school and roaming through the shelves of a library, look no further than this place. First impressions are HUGE & if it wasn’t because my son loves his trips to the library more than a kid going to Disney, I would drive 60 miles round trip to our old neighborhood than setting foot in this moldy smelling, rudeness yielding dungeon!!!!

Nice quiet, yet very active library. I hadn't gotten a library card in years, but decided to renew. Enjoy how clean they are and the books they sell at a reduced price. I've helped fill a teacher's class room from the books they sell. Check them out if you are a book lover or have a class you want to help!

For a small library it has exactly what it needs. I am confused by the people complaining about the size, busyness, and lack of resources. I am assuming that these people do not realize that this is not a regional library. You simply can't go to a smaller library expecting it to have every amenity of a larger library. If you want private study rooms and do not want to be around people, go to a regional library. It's that simple. For the most part the staff is friendly, there is a wide variety of books, and there are always programs that get people involved.

Smaller than the other local libraries and not as well stocked with audio books for the little ones. For children's books I would probably head to Sun City, Ruskin, Or Brandon
