When I was taking business classes in college I remember my instructor explaining that every business has a life cycle- even ones that today might seem too big or successful to fail. I didn't quite "get it" at the time, but Sears is the perfect example of this. Having grown up in Riverside, I went to this location for a nostalgic visit more than anything. I had heard that this location was closing and childhood memories of visiting the store with my grandma overwhelmed me. As I walked through the mostly empty store I recalled finding the perfect Easter dress with my Grandma, playing in the stairs that led to the underground where the photography studio stood, or meeting up with friends who worked their in high school. Back to reality, the store was disheveled and picked through. What was left looked like it was pulled out of storage from the 1980s. As the friend I was with described it, "The store smells like a yard sell... when someone takes out clothes that have been stored for years in boxes and they get all musty." Going through the store it was easy to see how Sears did not keep up and adapt to the times... they had an archaic model of doing business, old product offerings and old technologies. I'm glad I got to visit one last time but the circle of business life continues.

Great store. Good savings for members. Very clean
Sears is unfortunately going out of business, here. They are and were such a monument, to American shopping. Have all the department store needs and wants. Loved to go there as a kid. They had the best sleeping bags for camping. They clothed me, many times across the nation, when I was little. I will miss them. Give them a huge blessing, Everyone. That they consolidate the good of what they have and gave. Moving on to more of the best. Thank You, Sears. ️
I like JCPenney's they can be a little pricey at times some of the outfits. But they have good quality clothes and a nice selection. I went there to buy my two nephew a outfits and I was very happy with the outfit at a great price. I purchased a sweater and a nice pair of pants. There was a African American lady there I wish I knew her name she was very sweet and very very helpful. She went out of her way to find me another sweater that was in my size. Actually she told me she bought the same outfit. I love the fact that she put me in a great mood when I left the store.
They're still better than the majority; just aren't what they usta be. Could do with a few more choices of men's suits.
I love Sears, nice customer service the ladies at the registers are always very helpful.
Things are on sale good prices. Sorry to see this place go. It has been there my whole life. Grew up with that being the place for new school clothes. And the best tools in town.
This store has lots of good saving on clothes. Men's shirts were on sale with a 20% off and additional 10% off at the register got a couple nice shirts for ten bucks each. Great prices on Craftsman tools and appliances. One of the still standing brick and mortar stores. Support these establishments before they're all gone.
