Beautiful walk for all ages great dog walk with fantastic cenery overlooked by Lumley Castle. The wildlife unique to the area so many swans who have paired for life ducks herons and many others to be found. Safe play area paddling pool for children (always keep supervised) The river is great looks very welcoming but has a strong undercurrent again family supervision area as there is no rail/barrier along the walkway separating pathway/river. Unsure of opening times but there's a small cafeteria selling hot dogs tea coffee etc. Parking with disabled bays. (Pay and display reasonable rates)

Great place on a nice day, can here to have a walk round with the dog. Loads of dog walkers and you must keep your pet on a lead. There is a playpark for kids and plenty or land to walk around, next to the river too. Parking is charged from around 80p for an hour, and there are parking wardens doing their checks so have some change ready for the meter.

Didn't intend on visiting here but glad we did, lovely little walk around, car park was 1.20 for 2 hours which was ample amount of time for us, toilets are currently open, clean & tidy. Easily accessible paths, lovely gardens and access to the river for pooch to wet his paws.

Open spaces by the river ( caution required here as it can be quite rapid) well marked out for walking and cycling. Clean tidy quite a good park for children to play. Car parking with a charge, not sure what tariff it is as I park at my daughter's across the road.
