So far so good. I went through the course and have been on the road for the last two months. The starting pay is enough to get you through to the next level. When you finish your 10 month initial contract, the goal is to buy a company vehicle and the company will keep you working so that you can pay off the truck and help train new drivers. I like the Idea and am looking into doing just that. Logistics is tough but that must go for all of the larger companies moving freight. The driver managers do the best they can and I like to work with them not against them so that the experience stays positive. I give CRST a thumbs up!!!!!

Do not sign any contract with this company! There's a reason they're famous for being a bad company. To be fair most of the employees are good people, it's the policies and paychecks that are bad. I worked for the company for 6 months, I only got a speeding ticket (a mistake, I'm not a reckless driver), I was told I wouldn't be fired for the ticket. 7 weeks later, they fired me for the same ticket and I owe them 6,500! If you're going to work for them don't do it under a contract!

I did ten months here. The pay isn't that good, but its your first year learning what do you expect. I did my ten months here and when you quit they charge you some amount for school taxes which for me was 77.47. I got a letter a few months later charging me that amount and I paid it. I didn't care, but 6 months later I got a letter from collections saying crst put me in collections trying to collect the same amount I already paid. They could potentially have ruined my good credit for no reason. Luckily I have the email receipt and bank statement proving I paid this amount. If you quit here, I suggest you keep your receipts of any payments from this company cause they are dirty money-hungry thieves that will try to screw you over even if you already paid.

If you value hometown do not work here. Best have money saved up for the initial 6 months because you won't make over 400 average a week and that's peak season. Can be around 250 in first part of year. Training sucks. I would avoid their school if at all possible but if you feel you can figure it out on your own than that might be OK for you. They work with a community college in Waterloo, IA and it is a far superior program to theirs. Probably not the worst as I have heard some horror stories and some has to do with your luck in finding the right Co driver but unfortunately I would recommend another option if one can be found.
