Michelle & Barney were a lovely couple running a local family run cafe. The were friendly and presented a welcoming service. The breakfast was value for money and very tasty, the cafe was very clean and the photos on the walls were from her parents who run a photo printing service few doors away. We will revisit River Cafe again in Bedford next time we are there & will recommend to my friends & family. Raj and Nicky

Very nice Cafe. Friendly staff/ owner. I had coffee which was good, and English breakfast... nicely cooked. I would prefer free range eggs, hence four stars. Overall very nice, would visit again.
Always a friendly welcome, quick service and good food at very reasonable prices.
Dropped in by chance with friends for a cuppa and it was great - the staff were friendly, the cafe itself is lovely and clean and the tea wasn't overpriced. Food looked good too, especially the cakes (which looked homemade). Great place, will definitely revisit!
