A hidden gem for CAPF officers and men. The campus has a proper Officers Mess with rooms for officers, and an annexe building with additional rooms for officers on the ground floor and dormitories for men on the first floor. Ample parking space. The newly opened Sita Jhula and all the major ghat areas at Rishikesh are at a convenient walking distance. Just around 200 m from the main road, lovely location it is. The GMVNL Ganga Resort is also nearby for someone who wants to loosen one's purse strings. It is like a star-hotel-cum-resort with most of the high and mighty of the state/central government staying there during their visits to Rishikesh. But right now(December 2020), it is being used to house Covid-19 doctors. SSB Transit Camp, Rishikesh, is short on staff strength and that shows in the level of maintenance. But still reasonably acceptable on all counts. One shall be lucky to actually get an accommodation here during your Rishikesh visit due to the frequent visits of officers and the consequent paucity of rooms.
