This is a fabulous museum! The rooms and artefacts are all well displayed, and signs describe everything you see. We spent a couple of hours there, and we left well informed and well entertained.

Really interesting. Great for families. Will be going back to finish seeing the parts we ran out of time to see. Ticket lasts for a year.
You can buy a ticket for a year for all 3 museums. We had a lively day out, staff were totally lovely, happy to see us, what a dedicated group of women, keeping this open. We had it practically to ourselves on a sunny day, lots to see, right in heart of Ripon. 2 parking all day in St Marygate car park. Took a picnic, visited market, bookshop, spa gardens after...perfect
Very interesting and informative museum. Friendly and helpful staff that couldn't do enough to answer our questions and share additional info. There were areas under construction while we were there as they are a newly opened attraction and still expanding. There is lots to look at and read but I wish there were more hands on displays. Worth a visit and very close to the Police Museum. Loved it!

Everything was so well organized. Evocative and challenging. Absolutely fascinating museum. The staff and volunteers are friendly, welcoming and most of all, knowledgeable about the workhouses history. Really interesting. Great for families. Still thought it was a little expensive though. It is an amazing house and I would definitely recommend going .
