An excellent service from Dan to provide drawings and designs for our application for planning permission for a double storey extension. Dan helped us with ideas for the design and recommended full double storey, which we didn't think we would get permission for, but we got with no problems, thanks to Dan's design. Dan is very reliable and quick to respond to any queries and provided support through the whole planning process, I would highly recommend him.

I chose Daniel to assist me with architectural drawings for a knock-though-cum-extension. Whilst a big project for my wife and I, it was relatively small-scale in purely architectural terms and I felt I did not require a RIBA standard architect (or pay the commensurately higher level of fees). So I engaged Daniel to do the architectural draughtsman work, to satisfy local planning requirements. I’m glad I did because, although well within the permitted development measurements, it turned out that, because of a covenant when our house was first built, we needed full planning permission, so had a few extra hoops to jump through. Daniel was able to get the Planning Dept to register our plans before the new 2018 tariff came into effect, which saved us a bit of money. And the detailed drawings etc were submitted soon afterwards and duly received full planning permission. Although I did not seek any design input from Daniel he was nevertheless happy to share a few useful tips with me, and he also liaised with the structural steel consultant, whom I also had to engage. Overall I was highly satisfied and I felt that the fees I paid were good value for the work done and I am more than happy to recommend him. Ray Cadman Ripon
Dan provided me with great advice and drawings for my twin storey extension. His knowledge was excellent and Dan helped get my scheme through planning - offering help when needed.The finished design was excellent and made the best use of the space i had available. I would recommend without hesitation - really was first class.
Dan has been working with us to redesign the ground floor area of our bungalow, to open up and design a larger and brighter kitchen area / dining area and lounge and also to create a much needed cloakroom and utility room. Dan had some excellent design ideas and plans and has always been readily available by either phone or e mail to offer advice or answer any queries. Would not hesitate to recommend, first class service.
I contacted Daniel Powell in late 2018 after he was recommended by another architect. We were impressed with the interest Dan took in our project (a single storey extension) and his valid suggestions for improving on our original ideas. Dan provided all the relevant drawings and supporting paperwork to get through the building application; then produced the detailed drawings for building control, surveyor, builders etc and has liaised with a range of different tradespeople, so that our project has progressed smoothly and in a timely fashion to the current stage, which is preparation to begin building. Dan and his team have constantly given valuable advice and we are grateful for having worked with him to this point.
