The librarians are so very pleasant and helpful. The atmosphere is comfortable and the selections of books is amazing. There are all kinds of activities to participate in. I immensely enjoy the Ripley library every time I'm there. Get lost in a book it's brain food and good for the spirit...I look forward to my next adventure at the Ripley library and you should too! #BOOKLOVE

The Jackson County Library in Ripley is overall, spacious for their needs. There really isn't many places to sit comfortable and read, but that is okay. The computers here are frustrating, they take forever to load and enter your library card number. Plus there is only 8 of them and usually there are at least one or two out of order on any given day. The librarians aren't very friendly, they seem to not care and have a \woe is me\ look on their faces as they perform their jobs. Its pretty sad to see, usually libraries in small towns like these tend to greet you happily but here, they just stare at you as you walk in. The meeting rooms are nice, but not fantastic. The library is a little dated, the wall colors don't all match, and all the shelves aren't the same style, either. However this is rather petty of me as they don't overall affect the function of the library. They have a lot of good programs- and always have something going on . They also have a genealogical library, but I've found the staff for it are uncaring of me. Overall, a good library, with good potential, but lots of room to improve.
