These guys are just great! Service is excellent, response times are good. Attitude is positive. Just had my third great experience with them this week. My only gripe is that I wish I’d found them sooner; twenty years of being a New Forest Farm Machinery customer was SO much more expensive!

Used this shop by accident. Partner dropped the lawnmower in the workshop ear Ringwood brewery\. Turns out there are two. The one I always use which is great and literally a third cheaper and then there is this one. Same issue as in another one star review. They charged 120 to service and clean the carburettor of a small lawn mower. The machine was 150, new, 4 years ago! Unlike one of the other one star reviews I discussed this when collecting the machine. I did not query the bill. I just mentioned they should warn people when the cost of repair or service will be three times the price of the machine. His answer... it is too much hassle to call clients to inform of the costs... Imagine that at the car garage, vets, dentist or anywhere else... This level of customer care is more painful than the 120, hence the review. Avoid this shop, particularly when you can get great service at reasonable cost less than half a mile away...

**NIGHTMARE FROM START TO FINISH** Got a price for a lawn tractor service over the phone. No mention of essential extras or PLUS VAT (which itself is against the law). Despite assurances that approval would be sought for any additional items, other parts fitted without pre-approval. When pressed, again prices given without VAT. Replacement belt snapped 2nd use after fitting. No responsibility taken and yet more unapproved charges. They seem to have no clue about the principle of give a price, do the job, get paid the price quoted. Once they have your machine they seem to think they can do and charge anything they like. You will not get your machine back until you have paid whatever price they come up with - using posession of your property to secure payment for disputed invoices. Consumables twice the price of Hunt Forest and machine was gone twice as long as they said. **AVOID AVOID AVOID** Reported to trading standards, legal process pending.
