Great cottage pie of Ox cheek. Very tasty and just right amount for me. Good social distancing. Definitely recommend.

The pub is a shining example of a 21st Century country pub. New meets old & contemporary meets traditional in a relaxed environment where everyone can enjoy the very best in food and drink.
Pizza was nice, desert (waffle) was rock hard in places, almost like they had microwaved it for too long... Relatively quick service at first but was sat waiting for 30 mins for someone to come and take our desert order. Overall - not impressed.
Great food. Staff are very helpful and pleasant. Good choice of drink. The place was spotless And all the changes were clearly in place to deal with social distancing. Staff went out of their way to make sure they fit us in safely for a short notice table for two. Excellent place to eat. It's situated in a lovely little village in Chester. Well kept and pleasant atmosphere. Dogs welcome too
