Came here just after Christmas aiming to but a digital keyboard (Yamaha P45) for my own personal use. I wasn't entirely sure it was right for me as someone with some music knowledge but no keyboard skills but the staff member (Gary) who came to me was just brilliant. Even though I looked like I was going to try and rob the place, he demonstrated the keyboard as well as alternatives and left me along to have a go myself. Honest, expert feedback provided on alternatives. And he was happy answering questions (as well as being videoed so I could get an opinion from someone else!). Price was good (same as Amazon) in the sale, but they didn't have the keyboard in stock. He did however offer to let me take home the display keyboard and arrange next day delivery of a new boxed one. Instead, I decided to collect a new one from their warehouse as it was on my way to work (and I'm impatient!), and there it was ready for me when I arrived, but the offer was much appreciated and not what you get from many retailers. Very good shop, friendly knowledgeable staff and a very good price. They also do lessons in there which I would take up if I didn't have a friend already teaching me. I've no regrets at all in buying the keyboard BTW - it's fantastic, which is more than can be said for my piano skills. You don't get rhythms, loads of instrument sounds etc, but what you do get is a weighted keyboard that feels (and sounds) almost the same as a piano. You can tell all the money goes into a keyboard, not frills and features you don't need and I'd recommend it to anyone, as I would the shop.

Had a great experience with Rimmers recently. Saw the video review completed by Graham at the Bolton store. That then spurred on a visit to the nearer Liverpool store. Upon arrival I dealt with Adam and Joe both had excellent product knowledge and were great musicians. However the real star of the show was Hedley. We had a slight hiccup due to a poor choice made on our part and Hedley resolved the issue for us quickly and efficiently. The level of customer care was truly exemplary. Living in Stoke on Trent I will still return to Rimmers whenever I need anything for my piano. What a great company! Love my new piano! Will actively recommend Rimmers to anybody who needs their musical expertise
What a great shop with helpful staff. Special thanks to Adam. I went to purchase a keyboard and was very impressed with the display range of them (guitars and drum kits too). I didn't feel pressured by the staff. Of course I was shown different and slightly more expensive ones but he then backed away and let me play them to my hearts content and decide myself. It was worth it though as I decided on a model (still in my price range) I hadn't seen during my research prior to visiting and am very happy with it. I would highly recommend.
Probably the worst music shop in the North West. To many issues over the years. I won't be using them again.
Great local place to shop, good stock of guitars to suit all budgets. And fair PX prices after a haggle with Manager Leigh !!!! Absolutely worth a visit try before you buy something you cant do online.
