Great customer service from James mixed in with a nice commercial approach. I had asked about part exchanging my Fender Mexican Jazz Bass for a US one. James said that PX wasn’t an option (too many other used basses) but instead offered a reduction in the cost of the new bass. The JB was delivered very quickly and was as described and in perfect condition - it was ex-display. I don’t live anywhere near Bolton but I can fully recommend Rimmers.

Can’t fault the service received from James at Rimmers. I called about a Gretsch they were offering as an ex-demo, without any hard sell James helped me to choose the right guitar for me. Although an “ex-demo” this guitar is immaculate as described. Ordered on a Saturday and received by the Tuesday. Thanks for your help.
21/10/20. A friend of mine tried to buy a guitar,for cash,as advertised on their website.He rang them.They were polite and helpful.The website said the guitar would be ordered for November.He was willing to pay in full,the quoted website price, on the understanding he'd recieve the guitar in November. They got back to him,after contacting the supplier.The guitar in question,would not be available until next February,at the earliest,& even then,they wouldnt hold the quoted website price,so no deal could be done...The irony is,apparently the guitar is STILL on the Rimmers Music website,at the price my friend was attracted too, in the 1st place. 10/10 for the staff. 0/10 for the website.
Despite purchasing our piano from the Liverpool branch. Graham’s YouTube videos on the different Roland Pianos were very informative and assisted me in choosing the correct instrument for me.
Quite disappointed, wanted to book an appointment to look at pianos. Instead i got told over the phone I can only have an appointment if im a paying customer and willing to purchase an acoustic piano on the day. Unfortunately buying a piano is quite a personal thing as every piano is different and i didn't want to feel rushed or forced into buying one just because I was allowed in the shop. It is ashame that there is this type of customer policy over Covid19 and reflects their customer service of show me your money first. Rimmers definitely missed out on a large sale here. The videos are nice from Graham and informative, but it is a bit pointless marketing them if your only allowed in the shop if your definitely going to purchase on the day.
