University of Rijeka Center for Advanced Computing and Modelling conducts multidisciplinary research through use of advanced technology based on high performance computing and industrial optical 3D scanners. Framework for further research is the supercomputer Bura with its hybrid computer architecture consisted of multiprocessor and multicomputer systems. Multiprocessor unit has 12 TB of shared memory, 512 processor cores and 245 TB of local data storage. Multicomputer system is a computer cluster, comprised of 288 computing nodes with total number of 6912 processor cores and performance of 233.56 TFLOPS. In addition to high performance computing, laboratory uses advanced high-resolution 3D scanners and non-contact systems for measuring of surface deformations. As a part of the University, we are involved in the educational process.
