Rarely am I disappointed with a Mexican restaurant in California. My wife ordered steak and I had a fajita, so it’s very hard to go wrong with either, as both always taste great. However, what stood out about Olvera’s was that the salsa was probably the best I have ever tasted (and I usually don’t even like salsa very much). This made the tortilla chips seem like part of the meal, rather than a way to kill time while the meal is cooking. Also, the beans and rice had a noticeably delicious flavor. I was quite happy that we picked this place. If you go in the evening, though, don’t be surprised if it looks closed from outside; the interior is dimly lit.

two days ago was the first time we came to that excellent restaurant. But It is obviously not the last time. We enjoyed the evening a lot with the efficient service, with the excellent cuisine and booze and with the friendly pay. We will absolutely go back there soon.

We're new to the area and we have been looking for good tasting Mexican food, we tried a few around here and this has the best tasting food by far...so far, we do have a couple more to try. I felt a couple of the staff were a bit rude though, if that happens next time then I will speak up.

Very neat and welcoming place. They serve generous meals and for fair rates. I loved the food very much and the staff members were very affable and chatty. I recommend this place.
