Excellent food and service at very reasonable prices. I went for the Two Course lunch for 14 which included a Scotch Egg Salad (possibly the best Scotch Egg I've had in my life!) and the pork belly for the main (which again was of exceptional quality). This was an excellent choice for a lunch stop when doing the Chess Valley Walk. Friends I went with for the walk travelled up from London together with me and some have commented that they loved the place so much that they might just make the trip out again just for the food itself!!

The food was really lovely. Great place to have lunch, if you're in the area.

Lovely old pub opposite a very picturesque church yard. Excellent selection of beers and a traditional interior. They've adapted to our post covid world with (among other things) one way systems and a clearly displayed QR code for NHS app users. If you want to take a walk through the local countryside there's a couple of footpaths that pass by the pub that are well worth exploring.

Stopped in for drinks whilst exploring the Chess Valley. Lovely beer garden and a good selection of snacks and drinks. Great wine and beer options.
