First restaurant I tried when moved to Richmond. Very impressed. For me hands down, one of top three fish and chips joints in the WHOLE COUNTRY. Seriously, I have had my shares of some good, many bad, few questionable and one detrimental fish and chips places to satisfy my deep fried fish obsession. Pier 1 still treats me the best. The only thing tops Pier 1 is the one joint I had in Scotland which name I unfortunately forget SIGH. I am waiting for the lockdown to be over so I can dine in again. Cant wait to have the crisp fried cod with chips. ARG. Eating a take away fish and chips is just making me angry

I came here based on a recommendation. I normally do not like fish and chips because I spear fish for fresh fish and use a recipe by Alton Brown. Most fish and chips is just too oily. The fish and chips was excellent. I had a starter and dessert based on what was recommendation while looking over the menu. The halibut fried fish was delicious, crispy, yet soft and fresh. The salt and pepper squid and prawns was a nice start. The sticky pudding with toffee ice cream was warm, smooth and sweet. Staff was cordial. I had a chance to chat with Chef Billy who has a wonderful story. It is always nice to feel special, receiving a nice warm greeting and hello. Sad to say but rare in these busy days.

Nice fish and chips, crispy batter on the fish, the fish is nice although could be fresher. Portions are fine. Chips are also nice. Tartare sauce could be more generous as they only come in a little pot. Service was very friendly and the place is very clean. Would come here again.

My wife and I wanted to try out a new restaurant and I managed to find this gem on our way home from Kingston. Atmosphere was bright, clean and very spacious indeed not forgetting very welcoming. We ordered salmon, haddock, tempura prawns, fish burger for daughter, and of course chips for everyone. I must say it was certainly very delectable crispy and fresh, easily the best fish and chips I've had in London - it's not your typical harvester or fish bar type of food. For example the tartar sauce is home made and you can tell it has its unique taste compared to the pre-packed jars you find in the supermarket shelf. Billy was a fantastic host including the waitress, they were very caring and ensured you got the best service possible. I'll certainly be returning here with the rest of my family very soon as I don't think I could go back to the other shops I've tried before.
