Wonderful service and friendly staff. They gave out Canada Day pins alongside tea and coffee to all customers - a small but very nice gesture. Great customer service.
I really wanted to give this place a good review but after being here for a while I simply cannot. The seating is nice and the location is pretty easily accessible but everything else about the location is subpar. The food and drinks are too expensive for how they taste, however, that's just Second Cup's pricing. The washrooms here are unclean, and they look unfinished. Some of the couches are ripped and worn down, but the worst part by far is their employees. The one employee working at this location was lounging on the couch, watching videos loudly on her phone. She has refused to add milk to a customer's drink because it was a cappuccino. She denied a customer a smoothie, claiming 'she didn't have the stuff', but made a smoothie three minutes later for the next customer when they persisted. She has now returned to lying on the couch. I can hear it from across the store... it's a Shawn Mendez music video I think. Needless to say This is not the best Second Cup to go to, even to study. The ice machine is so loud someone sitting inside screamed. I have a picture of the employee btw if the owner wishes to contact me. 2/5 would probably only come again if I had to.
Usually a good spot, however tonight we came 20 minutes before closing and were told only tea was available, as all their other equipment was already closed. That isn't right, if a coffee shop closes at 9:30, then they should be serving coffee until that time. And then staff can take their time closing the equipment. It's not like we came 2 minutes before closing time...
This place is quite and cozy. Staff are caring and friendly good place for studying but there are only three outlets.
Good place. Mostly clean and quiet. Staff were friendly. Parking can be challenging at times.
