If there were a zero star rating that's what I would place it at. The employee was not helpful at all! And VERY MISLEADING!! I went in there hoping to get my laptop fixed which I now know just had a problem with the new OS windows update that went wrong. I went in to just see if they could get my files and when the employee checked he told me my hard drive was dying and all my files are just gone! This was ridiculous! I went and got it checked somewhere else and they recovered my files literally two days and I have everything now and there was nothing wrong with my hard drive in the first place! This geek squad almost scammed me! I do not recommend this at all! NEVER GO HERE!

My laptop was not turning on I had no idea how to fix it, and when I took it to best buy geek squad everything returned to normal. But you'll just have to wait for a few days
Predatory business practices towards seniors!! Beware!! My elderly mother called geek squad to take a look at her computer. Geek squad arrived to diagnose the problem and told her that she would need a new graphics card OR a brand new PC. Ive heard of geek squad scamming in the past so I told her to hold off on the service until I was able to assist her. I came by the next day and within 30 seconds and with 0 experience fixing computers, was able to identify that all she needed was an analog cable (7.99 off amazon) Not plugging this cable in is the equivalent of not plugging the computer into the wall. Would 110% not recommend unless you’re interested in being taken advantage of. Truly shocked at the lack of integrity geek squad has for its customers.
I went yesterday to Geek Squad to get my laptop fixed because it wasn't booting up. I had to stand there idly waiting for somebody to show up and help me, then when somebody finally realized they had a customer this old grumpy guy told me that I should just leave the laptop on and that it would fix itself, he didn't even bother to inspect it or lift it up and check it. The guy was so lazy, cocky and just unwilling to help. Today my laptop is still on just showing the manufacturer logo and its not booting up but I'm sure as hell not going back to Geek Squad. Terrible customer service. Grumpy old guy.
Do not take a Geek Squad offer unless you plan on making steady use of it. It is not as easy to get out of a membership as they say. It is not as easy as a phonecall. They will charge you a penalty fee.
