Go to Coquitlam Cap-It instead - this location has the worst customer experience I can imagine. I called them saying I needed parts for my canopy ordered in, and they told me I had to email pictures. Every time I would email them I wouldn’t receive a response for over a week, then I would call the store and be told I would get a response that day and would go another week without a response. After months of trying to order my parts (I even had the part number is ready to go) I finally decided to give Coquitlam a call. Tyler quickly have an invoice ready for me. Doug then finalize the transaction and ordered the parts. It’s nice at the Coquitlam location that they put their names on their emails, because the Richmond location doesn’t use names and emails so it’s very hard to follow up with who was helping you regarding their issue. Also the Richmond people were very rude on the phone.
Go to another Cap-it. TLDR: Go to Cap-it Surrey or any other one.... Not one to usually leave a review but the service I received from this store was so poor I feel obligated to let others know so they dont get ripped off. Regardless of the generally unfriendly and poor customer service in store I was completely misquoted and would have paid 1000 extra in made up costs on a truck canopy. I was told that the canopy I was looking for 180XR would fit on my truck and it was going to cost over 5000 dollars before tax. This was not only 1000 more that the canopy should have cost he failed to realize that they dont make 180XR for my truck and I needed to get a 180 not 180XR. I only found this out after going to Cap-it surrey and receiving a proper quote and correct model. I would never go back here and would highly recommend getting a quote from another Cap-it location before buying anything.
What a joke, don't trust this place! I've never experienced such dishonest customer service in my life. My day old truck was damaged while getting a tonneau cover put on here. Bawa initially seemed helpful and told me he'd get it fixed right away but I had to follow up with him for over month to try and get it fixed. Each time he delayed and never followed through with his promise. I eventually got so fed up with his lies and lack of action that I contacted the Cap-it head office. Mike at the head office accomplished more in a day than Bawa did in over a month and he got my truck fixed right away. They could have had a customer for life but I'll never go back to Cap-it Richmond again. That being said, the quality of the tonneau cover is solid and the head office provided excellent service. I'd suggest to stay far away from Cap-it Richmond but consider Cap-it's other locations in the lower mainland.
