3.5 stars. I read some of the reviews. I personally have only had good experiences and last time I went, there were children there and at that time the owner was quite pleasant but not overly friendly - just normal. I try to support local shops and really this store looks very cute from the outside. It is on the inside as well- just reminds me of the good ole days of standalone candy stores. Candy dish has a variety of candy and chocolates but I’m not sure who the intended market is. Also, the lose candy is kept behind the counter- I suppose for hygiene or reduce theft? The prices are high but as long as I can, I will contribute to come here. It’s a good place to grab some sugar while waking about but if you need candy for a party, I’d opt for Costco or Wal-Mart for your money’s worth.

This is the best fudge my family has ever tasted!!! It's ridiculously creamy and flavourful. The vanilla caramel made us crazy gooey happy and the key lime is so fresh and wonderful it's like getting smacked in the face with joy. Love it!!! Oooo and the salt water taffy is super yummy. Will happily come back to Vancouver just for this candy shop ... and maybe to visit family. lol Edit: We dealt with a female staff person and found her to be very pleasant, not rude at all. We also didn't find the prices unreasonable especially for handcrafted fudge that is clearly made with quality all natural ingredients. That being said she could spit in my face and I'd still very happily travel thousands of kms for that fudge ... it's that good!

I am a father of three and a local resident of Steveston that will never set foot in this store again. Unwelcoming and rude male owner. And that was towards my kids! Not the first time, either. His response to me today when I finally voiced my dissatisfaction with his service and behaviour was "Whatever." This overpriced store is a blemish on the face of my beloved Village. How does it survive with so many negative comments and reviews? Why run a store that is supposed to make children happy if you obviously HATE children??? I'll never shop here again and I implore all to avoid at all costs.

I stopped in here after coming to visit storybrooke from Texas. The candy was good, but bless her heart, the clerk talked in an awfully fake southern accent. I'm not sure if she was mocking me, but it was very off putting. Ruined the friendly little vibe y'all got!
