Started visiting Richard's soon after he opened and was impressed by the friendliness, quality of service and of the meats. Recommended him to many friends and spent much cash there over the years. Have though noticed, as he has become established in the town, more popular through his Facebook giveaways etc. the friendly service has diminished, the prices continuously climbed and... in frankness ... it's just become a less nice place to visit .... the welcome has weakened ... the tone hardened and although the meat is very good ... it certainly doesn't seem very good value for money any more. Feeling greedy, grabbing and avaricious. We ordered this year for Christmas dinner, for which a deposit was taken. A few days before we had to amend the order as due to COVID restrictions we couldn't have the family round that we'd planned. The response from Richard was astounding ... scrapped the entire order and kept the deposit in a nasty Ebenezer skinflint type manner. Well Bah-humbug to you too sir .... another butcher has already benefited from your (apparently) miserable, short-sighted, small-mindedness our business will go elsewhere in future .. as will of course our recommendations.

They are extremely good the staff you could not wish for nicer people. And a pleasure go in to see them. With this lock down I put my order in on a Tuesday and get it on a Friday and they are very efficient. My only hope is when we get back to normal that the people that don't normally go to them but are doing at the moment stay with them. Plus I would like to say big thank you to them all

Started using this butcher around 6 months ago and would never go anywhere else now! Quality is exceptional staff are amazing wish I could give more stars!
