Great place to take the kids for a swim. Nice splash park with small water slide and big dumping water bucket. Warm water outdoor showers to wash the sand off from the beach. Public washrooms and full showers. ALL FREE!!!! I've never gone to the golf course club house( which is right beside)but I here there's food and ice cream in there.
I am shocked that a little town would have a gem like this. Lake was clean and perfect to watch the kids swim and play in the splash park. Golf course has great food but pricey. I just wish our little town would do something like this. Great Job Reston.
I never stayed here but I walked the trail near by just to check out the area. It's kinda a nothing trail. It takes you to the middle of no where with views of a farm field and a golf course
The water is great, we camped 3 nights, Thursday we weren't loud at all and got talked to on Friday saying our neighbor complained, okay, so I respect that, but, Friday night there's was a party going on that was so loud I'm sure all of Reston could hear it!! Not being dramatic either. Also had squatters come pull in right beside us, made us move my tent not knowing they were squatters, stayed up all night and were told to leave in the morning, left there garbage right there! Ya, sites are too small for tents!! Cops showed up next night when everyone quietened down.. Not once did we see overnight security!! And, giving no number to call if there were any problems!
So well kept, clean. Absolutely amazing for the kids
Wonderful open area, very welcoming community, commodities are very close.
Perfect outing for the family, we love it here!
