Top.

I came to casa florencio to experience the wonderful lechazo cooked in the coal. Well this place delivered the experience. Definitely also try the morcilla one of the best i have ever eaten in Spain, wash it all down with a bottle of ribera del Duero since you are in the region!

Apparently they don’t serve the lechazo for dinner, but we were pleasantly surprised by the set menu for Saturday 17 Feb (note: there are no ala carte choices for dinner). The finesse of the dinner dishes prove that they are more than a lechazo joint (yes though most would come here for the lamb), and I would put Casa Florencio on par with other fine dining establishments around Europe. The chef was adept & creative in the use and pairing of ingredients (uncommonly used in Spanish restaurants like Japanese bonito flakes, caviar, passion fruit sauce etc), while service was prompt & efficient. The only reason why it didn’t get a full 5 stars was due to personal preference: I’m not a fan of the fishy & salty bacalao in general though my Spanish companions loved it in the dumplings. My duck was tender & paired nicely with the orange sauce, but my companion felt it was too plain & dry. It’s not perfect but it definitely was a VERY good meal & the creativeness I saw would make me want to revisit for another experience. And at 33 per person for 7 courses including bread, water & coffee, & 12 for a bottle of wine - definitely worth it
