Book beforehand! Place isn’t the biggest and it gets full pretty quick as a lot of tourists go there. Finnish cuisine, all very delicious. The servers were all very nice and friendly, good atmosphere with a good view to the cathedral across the restaurant if you sit near the window. We got the reindeer set menu, salmon set menu, the bear stew, and traditional stew. The set menus are amazing, the starters and desserts were very beautiful, and the portions are very filling! We also ordered their finnish pancakes and it was honestly my favourite dessert! It’s very simple but it’s served warm and the strawberry whipped cream actually tasted like strawberries, it’s also not the smallest dessert plate, so save some space if you want to try!

Great food and great service. My favourite was the green soup. It’s a cold and raw vegetable soup. It was exceptionally refreshing after a long day of walking around in the sun. The steamed lamb was amazing. The texture was perfect. The view was also very very nice. We chose to sit outside because the weather was very beautiful. We didn’t have to wait for a table. About 30euros per head for dinner.

Very nice and popular place, traditional but inspired cooking and hospitality. Just very nice. Savotta means logging site, outback base of Finnish lumberjacks. Mind to ask a reservation.

Perfect place right by Helsinki Cathedral! Got there at 2.30pm and it was empty. We were just in time for the set menu! (Runs from 12pm - 3pm) We had a complimentary starter, a soup, main course and dessert for just 29! The staff was friendly and lovely too, checking in on us every once in a while ̈

Wow! So good. Restaurants in such a prime location are usually tourist traps, this spot is the rare, beautiful, exception. The decor is all traditional Finnish, and it feels more like small town than city center. The service is efficient and friendly, making the atmosphere feel all the more cozy. The menu is traditional Finnish, and the food tastes like a combination of home cooking and fine dining, it’s full of high quality ingredients and is super tasty. The perfect break during a day of sightseeing, highly recommend.

BEST FISH I HAVE EVER EATEN!!!!!!!! AMMMMMAZING FOOD IS ALL I CAN SAY!!! I even tried bear for the first time. When I saw the menu, I didn't think I was going to enjoy my meal, but then I was surprised! I also enjoyed the apple pie very much, and I highly recommend it!!!!
