Maybe the nicest place for diner. You are litterly on the water, awesome setting and very nice people serving the nice dishes. Suggestiin: start with some nice appetisers in the lounge seats and continue for dinner later at one of the table outside. Doesn't get much better than that.

Beautiful restaurant and we dined right on the beach with the sand under our feet! A great experience and we were lucky to get a table as we hadn't booked. The waitress and waiter were very charming and advised us at every turn about the menu as our French wasn't very good. Food was top class, very tasty and we had a great night atRestaurant Les Planches and everyone vowed to come back again. On my review of Les Planches I had meant to give it 5 stars️ ️ ️ ️ ️ . . . so there!️️\u200d

Staying at St Maxime for my holidays with my wife and my little daughter, today I decided to change from my usual beach and restaurant and went to Les Planches. The service on the beach is very nice and the space clean and well kept. Went to their restaurant for lunch, an upscale one considering average prices in Saint Maxime. I see on the menu they do linguine with vongole. Being Italian the first thing I do is to ask the Italian speaking manager if possible to have it al dente (slightly under cooked) and he is so reassuring that I don't hesitate to order it. What comes in my plate is some kind of off white coloured pasta which resembles Japanese udon noodles: so white and so tender that my 8 months old daughter wouldn't have any problem to eat them with her two teeth. I ask another person on the floor why is not al dente and that I wanted to order something else. He said: no sir, I will ask to make it al dente as you requested. He came out of the kitchen saying was not possible to have it al dente and to order something else. At the end of the day, when I go to pay for the beach and the lunch, the same guy who told me it was not possible to make it al dente and to change to another plate, he eventually charged me for both plates I have ordered. Despite asking reasons and him being extremely in contradiction several times I had no chance to avoid paying that disgusting plate of noodles. It's not at all for the money, but for having been properly ripped off. There are so many nice places in Sainte-Maxime, avoid Les Planches. Riccardo
