A real 'pot Lyonnais' where you are served as king and queen, and you savour every spoon and bite. Excellent food, brought to you by real professionals!

We have loved the revisited and modernized dishes from Lyon - they also have very good wines matching whatever you eat. The team is super nice and the price are reasonable. My only problem there was to select something to eat - every single dish was so appealing !

The service was a bit slow, but generally fine. the food was also, just ok. we were a party of 5, so we got to try a substantial part of the menu, yet none of the dishes were brilliant. we expected more

After 3 weeks vacation in France i can safety say that my worst food experience was in the restaurant Le Vivarais.. I ordered my favorite dish- beef cheeks with vegetables. It was dry and the vegetables overcooked. What a disappointment!

I came too late for lunch (though they close at 2 p.m., don't show up at 1:45 and expect to get seated), but I came back for dinner and everything was really perfect: the food, the service, the setting. Had frisee et lardons salad with the most perfectly poached egg; delicious beef cheek with lovely vegetables; creme brulee for dessert. With coffee and wine, under 45 US for dinner - amazing to a New Yorker. It was a wonderfully peaceful and relaxing setting as well. If I lived in Lyon, this would be my place. Hope to return with my husband in tow.

We were very disappointed in the poor service and the lack of attention we received from our waiter. We were stuck in a side room and the waiter basically seemed to have forgotten about us. After waiting quite a while to get menus and then waiting another long time, the waiter finally took our order. He presented the roasted suckling pig which I had ordered. But never really saw him again until he presented our bill. We noticed the chef came and spoke with many of the other diners but he never came into our dining room. We were the only guests seated in that side room. If you don’t have two hours for dinner, this is not a restaurant for you. In fact, I would not recommend this restaurant at all. Way over rated. And not inexpensive. The roast pork was quite salty as was the trout. Hiwever, I must say the chartreuse dessert was wonderful and well presented.

Very nice place, the food was good, prices are fair and the staff was adorable. The chef even came out in person to thank us and say good bye!

This restaurant is operated by a chef who is Meilleur Ouvrier de France (MOF), a very hard to get distinction. The food was ... marvelous. Along with perfect cooking, the chef ads engineering of taste and texture to bring us to new horizons. The place itself is very nice, and the service is outstanding. A perfect experience !!!
