Wow, this gem of a restaurant is slightly tucked away, but is a must to visit. Spectacular food and great friendly service.

A nice French restaurant where chef does take interest in the needs of the clientele! Some English is spoken by the staff who are very happy to serve. The ambience was very relaxing, people are allowed to chat long after eating and the food is at the normal high standard required by the French.
Exquisite food at friendly prices. Worthy of a Michelin star? A three course menu can be enjoyed for as little as 22-30 euro's, a superb bottle of wine 20. For this you will excellent food!
Went here for lunch on a Wednesday at around 13:15. Had made a reservation for three people but it wasn't that busy. At 13 for two courses it was really amazing value. All of us had steak to start with a pepper sauce and chips. The deserts were the best though. We tried the creme brulee, the Ile Fountain (apologies for the spelling) and a chocolate gateau with poached pears inside. All really tasty. With a bottle of red wine and two soft drinks the total bill came to just sixty three euros. Best meal we had so far in Saumur and probably one of the most reasonable. Couldn't recommend it enough
