Excellent choices, the service is excellent, location is historic and decoration is sampa. The prices are to the expensive side in comparison to the other Resto around that area.

I had an excellent experience at le Canard Royal. My starter was fried foie gras with porcini and chanterelle mushrooms served with a super light foie gras foam. The main was a burger made out of duck breast meat cooked to perfection, it was also served with goat cheese and fried potatoes. The desert was called le Café Royal and was a sampler of several of the deserts. Service was excellent and although I know a bit of French most of our communication was done in English.
Enjoyed the duck platter last night, it was a challenge to finish due to the huge size, recommend 3 people to complete easily but every bite was delicious and of course the duck was cooked to perfection. Service could be a little better/ more attentive. Takes a long time between interactions with the waiter but on the other hand I guess it's nice to not be rushed.

Tucked down a quiet road off the main street. Service was friendly and efficient. Everything on the menu has duck. Order the espuma crème brûlée for dessert, it's quite light as the crème is foam instead of pudding.
Simply delicious. You better like duck, of course...
If you like eating duck, this is the place to go in Pau. Excellent menus and good selection of wines.
Friendly service and great help with translation from julien. Excellent mussels, salmon fantastic and great seafood paella. Well done
