We were wandering around the city looking for a place to eat. We eventually ended up in this area and found the restaurant. There were a few in this area and we ended up trying this place because of the menu. They had a special menu with three courses for 27 Euros. They had an outer area but it was empty since it was winter. We didn't book beforehand and was able to get a table. They didn't speak a lot of English and we didn't really speak French but we were able to order and pay without many issues. After ordering we got some bread with a shrimp spread. Both were quite tasty. It did take a while to get the entree, but we had five people and it all came out at the same time. I had the escargot which was served over bone marrow. It was incredibly delicious. We also tried each other's plates and they were all quite nice. For the main, I had the canette with a sesame crumb. I then had the chocolate fondant for dessert. It was a really enjoyable meal and was quite nice being able to relax and enjoy the night.

Came here with my family and was pleased to find out their crepes re gluten free. This opened up a large amount of food on the menu that I could eat safely. Food came out quickly and was very good. The staff were amazing and even moved two heavy umbrellas so the setting sun wouldn’t be in our eyes while we ate. Wonderful view on the Caen castle as well, take a walk through the grounds before or after your meal.
Lovely casual restaurant in a part of town that survived the bombing. Food was delicious and great value. Highly recommend.
Great service and good food. For the last 3 years I have brought a group of 35 here while in town; every year the place is a hit! I usually stop by the night before to make the reservation and also to pick up a menu, the next day in the afternoon I return to the restaurant and have the order ready to place so the kitchen can prepare. The food is always great, and is prepared quickly. Great location, near the base of the castle and 3 minutes from the central historical church.
Good and friendly service. Good wine selection. Cosy and modern place with outside sitting. We choose the steak which was good enough. They have nice children menu. The dessert was very good.
Absolutely enjoyed our dinner here. That street is full of restaurants but don't miss to check out the L'Avenue 21.
