Lovely restaurant honoured by Michelin star in 2019. The cuisine is incredible; taste and presentation at an excellent level. Staff was polite and pleasant. Overall experience was great.

Very nice lunch here. Unhurried service in a pleasant setting. Not too busy so we didn't need to book ahead. Reasonable wine list with some decent local wines. Food was beautiful with good sized portions. We ate inside but there is a terrace as well.
You will need to book. This is a restaurant preparing food to order, so it is impossible to just turn up. The menu changes about every 2-weeks and is very dependent on what is in season. The 22 menu is incredible value, but not a lot of choice (fish, or meat) so you cannot be too choosey. The wines are also great value. You will probably need to be able to speak some French and possibly translate some menu descriptions. If the restaurant is full, service can be a tad slow, but you have your table for the night so why not just chill and enjoy the experience. Oh, and you will definitely need to book.
The best meal in France. We have been here three times now, always an absolute delight, pretty dishes of excellent food, cooked and served with a smile. Please be warned, make a reservation as on each occasion we have watched numerous diners turned away during the evening due to it being at full capacity. If you are in Saumur, do not miss it.
Comfortable ambience. Very well prepared food. Service friendly but on the slow side.
One of the best restaurant experiences ever! The food was delicious, original. The location is not central but the tables outside were extremely pleasant. The service was impeccable. Lovely sparkling crémant (Gratien et Meyer). Absolutely delightful dinner! Recommended by our hotel: the Anne d’Anjou: thank you!!
Faultless cooking - absolutely delicious
A nice small restaurant with a good standard of cooking throughout and an interesting wine list focused on the local appellations. A flavoursome amuse-bouche and interesting well put together starts were the highlight of the set evening menu. The main course whilst well cooked were a little basic in their composition and the service declined drastically. With only one person serving and a kitchen that couldn't produce food quickly enough we waited for nearly an hour after our starters were finished. We gave up after another 30 minutes of trying to order a dessert. If they could sort out the delays this would be a firm recommendation. The restaurant is only small and reservations are a must, I'd recommend going early to avoid the worst of the wait.
