Today is the last day of our stay in Nice. Previous couple of days we’ve had very bad experiences of food in Nice. BUT tonight in La Gauloise, it’s the freshest and reasonable price seafood we’ve had!!! Also amazingly large portions and so so so tasty!!! Staff were helpful/friendly and we were well looked after ️ It’s not in the center of the touristic area, but it’s just outside of Liberation light railway station. Very easy to access! Thank you for giving us a good memory in Nice If we ever comeback, will definitely come again️

The tartare thon à la japonaise is beyond great, highly recommend! The seafood was fresh and nothing is too expensive. We were 4 and each one of us spent around 20e for a total of 1 entree, 2 main courses, 6 oysters, 6 shrimps. We were fairly full and didn’t need any dessert.

Generous portion of seafood linguine and their oysters are also fresh. Linguine itself could be more al dente, other than that it’s so good. Staffs are helpful and kind. Even we didn’t speak French the man who served us were still trying very hard to let us understand what he’s taking about.

I had an excellent experience here. Our waiter was friendly and accommodating to my limited French. The food was superb and at a reasonable price compared to restaurants which are closer to the waterfront. I would recommend this place to a friend. Merci!
