We went here because my parents said it was their favourite meal during their recent French travels. We scored a seat outside and were served by friendly staff. The food was delicious! We had a veal fillet and a goats cheese salad, both seasonal specials. From looking around us the pizza seemed good, and a fellow tourist ordered the rabbit and said it was superb.

Best service in France, super friendly personnel. They even made what's not on the menu available to satisfy a traveler's cravings :) Top quality food (the duck in the Cassoulet had amazing crispy skin), very reasonable price, highly recommended!

Delicious dishes, nice staff. We ordered a dinner set (starter - Camembert, main dish - Cassoulet, dessert - Creme Brulee) - 19 euro and salad with duck meat - 13 euro. Everything was fresh and tasty. Wine was very good too.
What a pleasant experience! This restaurant looks small, but it has lots of seats on the second floor, its also great to sit outside and watch the tourists wandering streets of the medieval city of Carcassonne. Atmosphere is great, staff super friendly and the food was just amazing! I went for onion soup and grilled octopus which was part of the special menu of the day. I have never eaten such a delicious octopus before. Dishes are made of fresh ingredients and full of flavours. Highly recommended to stop by!
In a medieval city made famous at the time of the fourth crusade of knights in 1200 AD, there are many streets and buildings that shows signs of this extensive history. The Rue Saint-Louis is just such a street and this restaurant a perfect place to stop and take on supplies of food and drink. The cassoulet is cooked well with good flavours. They have a menu of the day that offers fish and meat. You can also order pizzas. Though tourists may sit immediately downstairs, there is in the back, a narrow staircase leading to an upstairs restaurant with its tapestry decorated walls of scenes from the past and old looking wooden tables attended by comfortable chairs. With pleasant background music and bringing good company, you will enjoy the respite from the crowds at Le Restaurant au four Saint Louis
Had a great meal here on our first night in the city. The onion soup and Cassoulet were lovely. Presentation is rustic but dont let that put you off.
Very nice ambiance et lovely food. Try the daily dishes on the board. We shared a pizza 4 fromages and a aubergine parmegana (that one on the board): simply delicious.
