Not just one of the best meals I had while in Bergen, one of the best ever. It was so delicious, tastefully, beautiful presentations. Sangria was so good, my partner and I ordered more and more. Great atmosphere, excellent service. The building has a lot of history.

A bit overcomplicated for my personal taste. They can definetly cook here and overall we had some nice courses with good flavours. What I didn't like was some odd combinations like king crab and mango?! Why would you combine such a fine delicate ingredient like king crab from the cold waters of Norway, with some tropical fruit imported from across the world? Also the Hake (Lysing) was served with an overpowering Bernaise-like sauce (there is a reason why the French serve Hollandaise/Beurre blanc for fish and Bernaise for meat). In my opinion they need to simple it down and stick to fewer and only local ingredients and be more selective about what they combine.

I have to say. We really enjoyed this meal. The experience was excellent. We had the 5 course meal with what they called a drinks package. That's too say each course was accompanied by a drink from wine to beer! The food was excellent. Each course was presented and explained in detail as well as the drink that was served. Overall the experience was highly positive. It was expensive but we booked months in advance and saved. Everything in Norway is expensive so don't complain.... You know this already!

Lovely old building with a long and interesting history. Excellent food. Each course was served by the chef and well explained. A very good dinning experience.

We had the five course meal, which was phenomenal and a perfect amount of food...you will not leave hungry. To be honest, I was full after the third course. The ambiance and level of service was very satisfying. The waitress was tentative and knowledgable about all the dishes and provided wine recommendations for every dish. We received at least four free appetizers/treats throughout the experience. Dishes comprised of all locally sourced shellfish, fish, chicken, cheese, and dessert. Don't let the negative reviews fool you...this is a carefully orchestrated dining experience, and as a result of the careful planning, the cost is high and the time to freshly prepare each of your courses takes some time. This is expected for this type of experience. We had a lovely 3 hours exploring this culinary adventure.
